Update 1.1.0
Upgrade to v1.1.0 - update process:
IMPORTANT! Always backup all your files AND your database before any updates.
IMPORTANT! Always test on a localhost installation first before deploying to the production. Your license does allow you to install on a locahost for dev&test.
IMPORTANT! Before using the Admin Panel update, you must upload quick-update.zip to your installation root. This step is required for this version.
- Step 1: Download
quick-update.zipand upload it to the root folder of your SocialSwap installation (the same directory that contains your.envfile andartisan). Extract the zip in that root folder so the files are replaced. - Step 2: Click on the update button in the Admin Panel.
- Step 3: Afterwards type in your browser:
your-domain-name/admin/update/now. - Step 4: IMPORTANT: Clear your browser cache or hard refresh your browser afterwards by pressing Ctrl+F5
- Step 5: IMPORTANT: Update might clear your cache, make sure to go to Socialswap Settings and Finance Settings pages and click Save button to cache your settings. Make sure you turn on again your payment gateways that you were using before saving.
- Step 6: Done.
After updating
This release includes a large UI refresh (new CSS). If styles look wrong (old colors, broken login eye icon, etc.), clear caches:
- In SocialSwap admin, go to Settings → Clear Cache and clear the application cache.
- If you use Cloudflare (or another CDN), purge the cache for your domain — especially CSS/JS assets under
/css/and/js/. - Hard refresh your browser (
Cmd+Shift+Ron Mac,Ctrl+Shift+Ron Windows) or open the site in a private window.
Tip: In-app upgrade and
/admin/update/nowalready clear Laravel view/route/config/cache. CDN and browser caches are separate and must be cleared manually.
Change the site brand color
SocialSwap uses a single theme file for brand colors.
File to edit
public/css/theme.css
Near the top of the file, update these variables:
:root {
--ss-primary: #e85d04; /* main brand color */
--ss-primary-hover: #c24a00; /* darker hover state */
--ss-primary-soft: rgba(232, 93, 4, 0.12); /* soft backgrounds / highlights */
}
In the dark-mode block in the same file, also update:
html.dark,
.dark {
--ss-primary-soft: rgba(232, 93, 4, 0.18);
}
Use your own hex color for --ss-primary, a slightly darker shade for --ss-primary-hover, and a low-opacity rgba version of the same color for --ss-primary-soft.
After saving
- Clear cache in Admin → Settings → Clear Cache
- If you use Cloudflare (or another CDN), purge cached CSS
- Hard refresh the browser (
Cmd+Shift+R/Ctrl+Shift+R) You do not need to edit every CSS file — redesigned and legacy styles pull from these tokens.
