Video interview overview

How it works

1. The candidate opens Video from Prep (or Guest try when enabled).
2. Lobby: role, job description (required), optional CV, duration on Extended.
3. If the admin enabled Tavus cloud recording, signed-in candidates see Record this session. Guests do not get this opt-in.
4. Hirevia creates the session, holds credits (plus recording extras if opted in), and opens the video room.
5. The browser connects to the video provider. After the session, scoring runs; if recording was opted in, a job fetches the recording when cron is healthy.

What the admin controls

• Plugin: Marketplace → Video interviews (paid).
• Tavus (or provider) keys: Plugins → Video / Tavus configure + AI Providers → Video job.
• Credits: Per-minute video rate on AI Providers; optional recording extra per recorded minute on the video plugin.
• Plan access (Extended): Finance → Edit plan → Video.
• Recording (Optional): Must be enabled by admin; candidate must opt in; cron must run for the fetch job.

Recording rules

• Opt-in is lobby-only for signed-in users.
• Extra credits apply only when recording is chosen.
• Extra credits apply only when recording is chosen.
• Reports may show “still processing” until the fetch job completes — see Reports and sharing and Tavus setup.
